Description
Mountain biking, especially when thinking about XC known for its World Cup routes, creates completely new challenges for riders as compared to a few years ago. Therefore, to support riders both during MTB marathons and in classic XC rounds, we have created the KROSS Earth 1.0. We wanted to create a universal bike that will be ideal for any terrain, wherever you take it. And despite some compromises that we had to decide on when choosing components, we can proudly say that this is one of the most interesting bikes available in our offer.
In 2022, we are focusing on further development of our full suspension bikes. Despite leaving their geometry untouched, we've refreshed the KROSS Earth 1.0 components, making it an even more versatile bike for trekking routes worthy of the XC World Cup. A high-class Shimano Deore drivetrain operating with an 11-51 cassette or a shock absorber using an air spring are just some of the new parts we have prepared for our cyclists. So that you can be even faster on tough XC trails.
FULL SUSPENSION
The XC bike does not face the same challenges as it did a few years ago. That's why it had to evolve. Full suspension MTB bikes are increasingly more often chosen for difficult technical racing routes. That is why the Kross Earth 1.0 includes two shock absorbers from the renowned Japanese manufacturer Suntour, a frame made of superlite aluminium, trunnion system and proven Shimano accessories.
BICYCLE COMPONENTS
The KROSS Earth 1.0 features the latest Shimano Deore M5100 components. This new product for 2022 was designed to work with 1x11 drives. The system supports an eleven-row cassette with a giant 51-tooth cog to overcome even the steepest climbs. It also features a completely new clutch mechanism, which tightens the chain even better when riding in rough terrain. No more falling chain - this nightmare will never come back.
The trunnion system is a modern way of attaching the rear shock absorber to the frame, thanks to which it is shorter. At the same time, however, it maintains the same travel value. The front shock absorber is an air SR Suntour XCR 32 RLR AIR with 100 millimetres of travel and an air spring. As a result, the structure is stiffer and lighter compared to last year's model. It is complemented by a rear shock absorber supplied by the same manufacturer - SR Suntour Edge R. There is a lock lever on the handlebar that stiffens both shock absorbers, helping to pedal effectively on flat sections of the route. To ensure good traction even in the muddiest conditions, we have equipped it with Schwalbe Rapid Rob, which are 2.25 inches wide and proven on many routes. The frame is made of superlite aluminium. Due to thermal treatment, this alloy is characterised by increased stiffness and resistance to overloads, while maintaining low weight.
