KROSS ESKER 5.0:
The Esker 5.0 bike is the quintessential of the best things from a mountain bike and a road bike in one. Our gravel bike is fully universal. This is a bike that will reveal a whole new world to you.
KROSS Esker 5.0 is a novelty in our line, but also a development of the thought that guided us in earlier versions of this iconic gravel model. The drivetrain from SRAM is a novelty in this model. We have also improved many small, invisible at first glance details that will improve your driving comfort on any type of surface.
We're confident that the latest model of this bike will be just as much – or even more – fun than previous models.
Tailored to your off-road needs
In the Kross Esker 5.0 bike we used a homogeneous 1x11 drive based on SRAM APEX equipment. This is a classic of the genre to the company SRAM. Added to this is a carbon fork with 3 attachment points for accessories. The equipment of the Esker 5.0 is complemented by SRAM hydraulic brakes, providing reliable braking and good modulation.
The wheels are our proven Kross rims, armed with proven and liked by many cyclists in love with gravel WTB Riddler tires with a width of 37 millimeters. They are perfect for fast, flat road sections, and will give a lot of fun off-road driving. We wrapped the steering wheel with a Fi'zi:k Terra Microtex wrapper to ensure a comfortable and firm grip on the handlebars, even during the toughest off-road maneuvers.
Technologies for fun away from civilization
The frame of the Kross Esker 5.0 is made using superlite aluminum. This alloy, thanks to thermal treatment, is characterized by high rigidity and resistance to overloads. And most importantly, low weight. In addition, in the least exposed areas, the frame tubes are triple-butted to reduce its weight. In addition, both the rear triangle and the carbon fork are equipped with rigid axles to help reduce the amount of service work when changing wheels. In the front fork we have created an additional place for mounting e.g. small panniers.
When designing the frame, we decided to equip it with internal cable routing. Thanks to this, we have made the bike look aesthetically pleasing and neat, which can be an excellent means of commuting to work for many people. This cable routing system also allowed us to reduce the risk of breaking the cable while driving off-road.
- Thanks to thermal treatment, this alloy is characterized by high rigidity and resistance to overloads, while being extremely light. To increase efficiency, in places least exposed to forces, it is additionally triple shaded, and in sensitive places - strengthened.
- Conical head tube with variable cross-section from 1 1/8" at the top to 1.5" at the bottom. The larger diameter at the bottom gives greater strength and rigidity for precise control.
- Internal cable routing extends the life of cables and armor, protecting them from mud, sand or rain.
- The hub in the standard 142 × 12 mm is the rigidity of a wheel straight from downhill bikes combined with ease of assembly. This stiffening translates into more precise handling and stability.
- Disc brakes guarantee us high braking power and good modulation even in the harshest weather conditions, and their service life is much longer than traditional brakes.
- In order to protect our frames as much as possible, we have created a system of replaceable hooks that can be easily and quickly replaced in the event of damage. To reduce the possibility of damage to the frame to a minimum, the threads are placed on a hook or on a special nut.
