The Shimano wireless unit transmits to ANT + compatible devices and also to Shimano D-Fly (such as the Shimano CM-1000 action camera) the data of the gear indicator, battery charge status and other common information. The unit is simply connected to the Shimano E-Tube system.
As an innovation, there is also the possibility to establish a connection with the Shimano Di2 system using Bluetooth technology, which is particularly interesting for mechanics, as they can communicate with the system and make various settings on the system. But even the biker on the trail can change certain settings on site. Only the new internal battery (BT-DN110) or the new external battery (BM-DN100) must be installed in the Shimano Di2 system.
